Andrew, who grew up in Houston, and Teri, who grew up in Southern California, met and married while they were studying at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Teri completed a Masters in Cross-cultural Studies at Fuller, and Andrew received a M.Div. with a concentration in Cross-cultural Studies. They both share a passion for cross-cultural ministry. Andrew and Teri have three children (Rebekah 18, Matthew 15 and Gabrielle 10).
After completing their studies at Fuller Seminary, they served on the staff of Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. Andrew served as the Associate Pastor for Evangelism and Mission and Teri served as the Urban Mission Coordinator. After four and half years at HPPC, they moved to Central Asia in 1997 and spent nine years serving among the Muslim peoples of this region. They served with an international team of missionaries where their focus was demonstrating and sharing the love of Jesus through health, education and com-munity development projects.
The Adair family moved from Central Asia to Houston in 2006 where Andrew is now serving as the Executive Director of The Antioch Partners (TAP), and Teri is serving part-time as the Personnel Coordinator. TAP, a strategic alliance between Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship and The Outreach Foundation, is expanding opportunities for Presbyterians in long-term, cross-cultural mission service. TAP completed its fourth year of operation this past summer and thirty missionary partners have been appointed for service through TAP, and more are on the way. TAP’s goal is to triple the number of missionaries appointed for service by 2014. Andrew and Teri are grateful to God for the privilege of partnering with local Presbyterian churches here in the US in recruiting, training, sending and supporting long-term, cross-cultural servants who are being used by God to bring people to faith in Jesus, plant and strengthen indigenous churches, and demonstrate God’s Kingdom throughout the world.
