Diana grew up in a small town in Texas and even though she has lived in Dallas since 1980 considers herself a small-town girl. She often returns to her roots to spend time with her family. Diana graduated with a bachelor’s in accounting and a master’s in counseling. She is both a CPA and Licensed Professional Counselor.
While working as a CPA Diana traveled as a volunteer with an organization partnering with her church to South Sudan. Working alongside their national partner she was a part of planting churches, starting a school and community development. In 2015 Diana left the accounting world to work full-time traveling to South Sudan to be a part of training and equipping leaders.
In 2013 civil war broke out in the new nation of South Sudan. When in country the request from pastors and leaders were for help with trauma. The leaders were overwhelmed with their own trauma and the needs of those they lead.
In response Diana became a training facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute. As the need for this training increased God led Diana to serve with SIL as part of their SIL International Global Trauma Healing Services team. Through her own journey of grief and suffering and encountering the great need for this work, Diana is passionate about equipping others to walk with others through this journey.
