Tim and Debbie Dunn
Tim, Debbie and Jonathan moved to Brazil in August, 2009 where they are serving in leadership development. The Dunns are serving with a Brazilian mission organization, SEPAL (SErving Pastors And Leaders), and as a part of their focus on leadership development, Tim is serving as a resource for SEPAL in the strategic arena of Business as Mission (BAM). SEPAL is a dynamic Brazilian ministry that is playing a key role in developing Brazilian Christian leaders, as well as in sending Brazilian cross-cultural missionaries throughout the world.
Tim retired from Delta Air Lines in 2008 after a 22 year career in customer service and management. He has long been committed to God’s mission in the world, and he developed a love for the Brazilian people through his wife, Debbie, who grew up in Brazil as the daughter of Presbyterian missionaries. After completing his M.Div. at Columbia International University, Tim was ordained as a PC (USA) teaching elder in 2007. Tim completed his Doctor of Missiology/Intercultural Studies at Fuller Seminary in 2013. The focus of his study, writing, and ministry has been how to help Brazilians be more effective as BAM practitioners. Tim also does consulting for global Kingdom businesses and participates in several global Business as Mission organizations.
Debbie is a career music educator who has taught choral and general music in both public and private schools. She has also served in a number of churches where she has led children’s and youth choirs. Debbie’s desire is to help children praise God. Debbie currently is the music teacher for all grades at the Pan American Christian Academy (PACA) in São Paulo.
Tim and Debbie are part of the SEPAL Team in Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and one of the largest cities in the world (population over 20 million).
Jonathan is a junior at PACA where, along with his studies, he provides leadership in sports and student life.
