Anne
Much to her surprise, most of Anne’s life since she was 21 years old has been in cross-cultural mission ministry. As a Presbyterian mission co-worker for 26 years, her focus was teaching and pastoral ministry in Kenya and Ethiopia, first working with high school students and teachers and then training pastors and Christian leaders. Nine of those years were as a single ordained woman in mission before God brought her and John together in life and ministry.
Along the way both Anne and John sensed a personal need for deeper grounding while also seeing mission colleagues struggling to thrive in their cross-cultural contexts. Adding Christian spirituality to previous studies at Fuller in theology, biblical studies and missiology have been foundational as they were increasingly drawn to caring for people in mission. From 2009-16 Anne and John served as TAP’s Member Care Coordinators. Since ‘retiring’ she and John are grateful to be a part of the expanded Member Care Team. As a pastor- teacher, she loves sharing God’s word and encouraging people in their walk with God. She loves listening to, talking, walking and praying with Partners, especially where they live and minister. Pastoral Care and Encouragement
