The Antioch Partners Pathway Apprenticeship

Where is God inviting you to go next?

God calls every follower of Jesus to join in His mission. For some, that calling leads beyond their own culture to share the hope of the gospel. The Antioch Partners (TAP) exists to support and equip them for that work.

The Pathway Apprenticeship with TAP helps you grow as a missional disciple, explore cross-cultural ministry, and discern where God may be leading you next.

Through a summer, semester, or year-long apprenticeship with one of our TAP Partners (term TAP uses for our missionaries), you will: 

Grow

Grow as a missional disciple with a cohort community through online gatherings with instruction and an urban cross-cultural immersion weekend.

Serve

Live and minister alongside a long-term TAP Partner, learning through shared life and cross-cultural ministry.

Launch

Return with coaching and encouragement as you discern your next season of faithful service—whether in further education, your profession, your local church, or long-term cross-cultural ministry.

Who Should Apply?

Pathway Apprenticeship is for people who:

  • Have an active faith in Jesus Christ and desire to grow as a disciple.

  • Demonstrate the maturity and independence needed to live away from home.

  • Are ready to participate fully in the cohort, apprenticeship, and re-entry coaching.

  • Have the support and endorsement of their local church.

How it Works

→ Explore - Tell us you're interested and talk with the program director, Jen Haddox, to see if the Pathway Apprenticeship is a good fit.

→ Apply - Complete an application and receive your church's endorsement.

→ Discern - Get matched with a Pathway Apprenticeship Site through the interview process. 

→ Prepare - Participate in cohort training with an urban cross-cultural immersion weekend and raise funds to cover expenses.

→ Serve - Spend a summer, semester, or year as an apprentice: living and serving alongside a TAP Partner or other mission partner.

→ Re-enter - Debrief your experience and receive ongoing coaching as you discern what's next.

Summer 2027:

Alaska with Joey & Heea, July 1 - 31

The church in Kake, Alaska, is shining the light of Jesus in a place where the small Native American population faces many challenges due to poverty and isolation. Serve in the community center outreach and youth and children’s programs that meet the real needs of the Tlingit people.  Grow in compassion and leadership in apprenticeship with an amazing family in faith.    

ESTIMATED COST: $5,000

Italy, June 2 - July 31

Come alongside a church-planting team in Rome for a summer of formation as you learn to share the gospel among refugees and immigrants from a variety of countries in Africa and South Asia. Grow in your love for immigrants and refugees, and confidence in sharing your faith. Experience what it is like to live the missionary life abroad and understand the importance of community and church family. [*Security Sensitive; inquire for more info.]

Serbia & Croatia with Bojan & Rachael, June 8 - July 13

The annual summer Renewing Our Minds (ROM) gathering is a time to develop leaders of integrity who are committed to reconciliation and peacebuilding in the Balkans and throughout the world. This apprenticeship with Bojan and Rachel provides support in preparation and follow-up to the annual event, but the real focus is experiencing the richness of cross-cultural relationships. Gain a fresh perspective on the complex region of the Balkans and how the power of friendship can transform lives and overcome divides.

Honduras with Jared & Kelsey

Enter into the ministry of The Micah Project in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as they provide young men in social risk situations with spiritual, emotional, academic, and physical resources to transform them into servant-leaders in their family, society, profession, and faith community.

Scotland with Caleb & Summer, June 1 - 30

This apprenticeship with Caleb and Summer at The Spring Edinburgh is an opportunity to learn more about ministry in a post-Christian context and prepare for missional engagement in your own context. This month-long intensive provides space to grow in confidence to share the gospel through evangelism training, outreach and community-building events, and leading Bible studies.
