After years in campus and church ministries in the US, in 1994 Marta joined the faculty of a Kenyan Christian university in Nairobi, where she then lived and served for the next thirty years. Teaching graduate students in the fields of leadership studies and theology, Marta has also served in administration as Director of Student Development, Academic Dean, and Deputy Vice Chancellor, and taught modules in other African universities and countries. Over time, she has had the privilege of facilitating faculty development, along with joining former students in grass root leadership trainings and development. Though focused on engaging with students and faculty in their academic journeys, her larger passion is walking with others through spiritual formation and direction, mentoring and coaching.

With an Ed.D. in Leadership, an MDiv in Christian Formation and Discipleship, and as a certified Spiritual Director, and certified Life Coach, Marta’s desire is to be a co-journer, walking with others to grow in relationship with God and in ministry (whatever form), amid life realities, work, leadership, and multiple cultural contexts.

Now based in Seattle, she loves to care for TAP partners wherever they may be serving. Marta has two young adult children adopted in Kenya from birth. They are the Kenyans; Marta is the one with the funny accent (American). Leadership Development I Coaching   I   Spiritual Direction
