Marta

Marta’s joy is to be a co-journer, walking with others as they grow deeper in relationship with God and in ministry, amid work, leadership, relationships and multiple cultural contexts.

After years of church, urban, and campus ministries in the US, in 1994 Marta joined the faculty of a Kenyan Christian university in Nairobi, Kenya, where she then lived and served for the next thirty years. Teaching primarily graduate students in the fields of leadership studies and theology, Marta also served as Director of Student Development, Academic Dean, and Deputy Vice Chancellor, and taught modules in other African universities and countries. Over time, she has guided curriculum and faculty development, and joined former students in grass root leadership trainings and projects.

With an EdD in Leadership, a post-grad diploma in African Studies, an MDiv in Christian Formation and Discipleship, and both Spiritual Director and Life Coach certifications, Marta continues to serve in Kenya as Professor Emeritus, while primarily based in the US. She very much enjoys engaging with and praying for TAP partners as part of the TAP Member Care Resource Team. Marta has two adult children (both adopted in Kenya from birth) and as a chronic learner, loves reading, exploring, creativity, and learning to garden.
