Mehrdad and Marzieh Sajadi
Rev. Mehrdad Sajadi and his wife, Marzieh, serve as mission partners with The Antioch Partners, sharing a calling to strengthen the Persian-speaking church and equip emerging Christian leaders in Iran and throughout the diaspora.
Mehrdad was born and raised in Iran in a Shi’ite Muslim family and became a follower of Jesus Christ in 1997. He later served in ministry and leadership at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Tehran. His Christian faith and ministry led to his arrest and imprisonment in Iran in 2012. After eight months in prison and several years of continued pressure, Mehrdad and his family relocated to Germany in 2017.
Today, Mehrdad serves as a missionary with Allianz-Mission and as Director of Persian Ministry at Quest Academy. His ministry focuses on theological education, discipleship, and leadership development among Persian-speaking Christians in Iran and across the diaspora. Through online and in-person training, he teaches and mentors emerging leaders and helps equip them to serve and strengthen the growing Persian-speaking church.
Mehrdad holds an MA in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is an ordained pastor in ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.
Mehrdad and Marzieh live in Munich, Germany, with their two sons. Their desire is to see Persian-speaking believers grow as disciples of Jesus and become faithful leaders who equip others and help build healthy, multiplying churches.
